L. N. J. DeFroor McKelvain, buried in the Moran Cemetery, was the wife of Robert K. McKelvain. Her full name was actually Leah Nancy Jane DeFoor. She was born Dec 9, 1840, died Jan 24, 1918 in Moran. She was the mother of 8 children: Mary Elizabeth Stillwell, William Robert, John Herbert, Martha Flippo, Sarah Ann Callaway, Nancy Olive Preslar, Lucinda A. Freeman, and Minnie Lee McKelvain. Three of her children, William Robert, Sarah Ann & Minnie Lee are also buried in the Moran Cemetery. John Herbert is buried in Battle Creek Cemetery in Stephens County. Martha died about 1889, Mary Ellizabeth died in Smelter City, Arizona, Nancy Olive in Chula Vista, San Diego County, California. Their burial places are unknown to me.
Her husband, Robert K., died about 1879 & is buried on D. C. Stapp land in Stephens Co.
