David Glen "Tim" Rees, 74, passed away due to complications with COVID-19. He fought it for 3 ½ weeks on a ventilator and was called home on Wednesday November 25, 2020. David was born on May 9, 1946 to Ralph Rees and Melva Crittenden in Coalville, Utah. He had 7 older siblings. After graduating high school at North Summit High School, he attended Utah State University. He married JoAnn Kay Thomas on June 20, 1974 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had three wonderful daughters.

Tim started his own business, Dave's Stereo, over 40 years ago. He had a passion for electronics and music. He was really good at being able to fix something over the phone by memory of any type of TV, DVD player or VCR. He would drop anything to help someone who couldn't figure out their electronics. He loved to install car stereos. He helped with the sound systems at many school, church, and other events in Coalville. He loved serving the community and always wanted to support local businesses.

Tim learned how to be a hard worker by growing up on a farm and being expected to milk the cows and take care of the fields. He loved to drive his tractor starting at a young age. He loved the farm and lived in his childhood home most of his life. He taught his daughters, grandchildren, and many others how to change sprinkler pipe every summer. He looked forward to this time with his helpers. Daren Richins was Tim's right hand man the last few years. He was grateful for his help and support.

Tim enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved them so much. He loved driving and talking. He liked long drives to anywhere. One of his favorite vacations he enjoyed was in St George at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre. He looked forward to this time with his family every year. He loved going to movies, riding his 4-wheeler with his grandkids, and spoiling his wife.

He had the best smile and quirky sense of humor. He loved to share his knowledge with others. Anyone could ask him about most subjects and he answered it with a story. We all looked forward to his storytime. He helped with any question with homework or advice for anything. He would drop anything to help his family. He drove his grandkids many times to different events. He is loved by all. We sure love him and miss him dearly. We know he is finally pain free and at peace with a joyful reunion with everyone who left before him.

Tim is preceded by death by his parents and 4 of his siblings: Keith, Kenneth, Betty, and Calvin. He is greatly missed by his wife, 3 daughters, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 11 grandchildren, and 3 "adopted" grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the medical staff in the Respiratory ICU at IMC that helped David while he was in the hospital.

A viewing will be held at the Coalville Stake Center located at 40 N Main Street, Coalville, Utah on Sunday, November 29th from 6-7 PM. All are welcome. Masks are required.

A funeral will be held at the same location Monday, November 30th at 11:00 AM. Only immediate family can attend. There will be a livestream link on Walker Mortuary's website.
