In Loving Memory of Mary (nee Shelest) Rennette, 90 years. Peacefully on Monday, February 1st, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Laurentian Site with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Fred Osmchenko and Conrad Rennette both predeceased. Loving mother of Ronald Osmchenko predeceased, Tony Rennett (wife Tina) and Constance Rennett. Cherished grandmother of Steven, Lynnette (Chris), Christopher, Lisa and 4 great grandchildren Samantha, Mathew, David and Ashley. Dear daughter of Steve and Anastasia (Paluik) Shelest predeceased. Dear sister of Cecilia Bozyk (husband Bud) and predeceased by Pearl Iwasyk, Sophie Bien, Cassie Fron, Walter, Anne Zypchyn, Mikeal, Mark and Nester. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A long time Creighton resident, she was an excellent cook especially her legendary butter tarts which she generously shared with others. Mary proudly owned and operated Marys Restaurant in Walden and then she was the manager of Tradewinds Restaurant. A devout Roman Catholic she attended St. Michaels and St. Pius X Churches and she belonged to the parish CWL. She also had been an active member of the Order of the Royal Purple. In recent years, she enjoyed her friends, neighbours and activities at the Meadowbrook Residence. The light and love of Mary’s life will continue to inspire and guide all who knew her.
