"Pneumonia Fatal to Mrs. Louise Gerson

Mrs. Louis Gerson, 78, 703 Main street, died at 11:45 a.m. today at the Winona General hospital. Death was due to pneumonia. Mrs. Gerson had been ill since Saturday and was taken to the hospital Monday.

She was formerly Miss Louise Heiden, and was born in Germany March 21, 1860, coming to Winona when two years old. For a time the family resided on a farm in the town of Hart and later came to Winona where she spent practically all her life. She was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran church.

Survivors are four children, Mrs. P. M. (Adele) North, Portland, Ore., who will be in Winona for the services; Mrs. Walter (Elsie) Hoge, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. N.A. (Helen) Roettiger, Winona, and Arthur Gerson, Winona, and seven grandchildren. Her husband, Albert Gerson, died in 1928, and one daughter, Mrs. Mark Haesley, Fort Worth, Texas, died in 1920. Two grandchildren are dead. One brother, August Heiden, Winona, and one sister, Mrs. Frieda Ebner, La Crosse, also survive.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
