Roberte Gadois is the daughter of Pierre Gadois, first farmer at Montreal, churchwarden at Ville-Marie (Montreal). A stone in his honour at Place de la Grande-Paix-de-Montréal. In 1650 Roberte married the famous pioneer Louis Prud’homme known as Churchwarden, brewer, corporal, and first militia captain of Montreal.
