Vayle A. Anderson, 94, former Morgan County resident, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Terrace Gardens Healthcare Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born February 21, 1926, in Yuma County, CO to Albert & Ruth (Peterson) Anderson.

Vayle grew up in the Fairfield Community on a farm south of Sedgewick. He attended school there through the 10th grade, attended Holyoke High School his junior year, and went to Sedgewick High School his senior year. Due to Rheumatic Fever he was unable to be drafted, so he stayed home attending the family farm while his twin brother went into the military service.

Vayle met his wife on a blind date and they married on February 3, 1946 in Chappell, NE. He worked many different jobs – farmer, ranching, mechanic at Fort Warren Air Force Base, volunteer fireman and John Deere Implement owner in Oshkosh, NE, and a 4-H leader. Vayle was a brand inspector for over 20 years for the State of Colorado. They lived in Morgan County from 1986 until moving to Colorado Springs in 2004 to be closer to family.

He was a member of the Middle Park Cattlemen's Association, and the Colorado Stockgrowers Association. While living in Brush, the Anderson's attended the Calvary Assembly of God. Since moving to Colorado Springs they attend the Austin Bluffs Community Church.
