"Clinton L. Knapp Funeral services will be held Monday at West End funeral home in Chicago Heights for Clinton L. Knapp, 79, of 545 East 231st, Chicago Heights, who died Thursday at Ingalls Memorial hospital after a short illness. The Rev. John R. Wyngarden, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate at the services. Interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery in Evergreen Park. The body will lie in state at West End on Sunday after 1 p.m. A retired bank cashier, he had lived in Chicago Heights for the past 13 years. He was a member of the foreign sales sales department of International Harvester company and was an elder of the First Presbyterian church of Chicago Heights. He was born March 21, 1881, in Baldwin, Mich. Surviving are his widow, Cora; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Craig of Chicago Heights and Mrs. Jean Curtis of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Col. Lawrence N. of Washington, D.C., and Sydney of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Cecil Eddy of Big Lake, Minn; two brothers, Charles of Minneapolis, Minn, and Lester of1 Pawtucket, R.I.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the youth fund of the First Presbyterian church of Chicago Heights."
