Joyce attended Frankfort schools and liked camping in her younger years. She was a member of Woodside Christian Church in Frankfort. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and taking care of her yard. She took pride in cooking for and hosting family holidays, which were a must, and loved raising all of her grandkids.
Surviving with her husband are two sons; two daughters; two brothers; two sisters; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Abbott and Larry Abbott; and two stepchildren, Sam Galvin and Donna Sue Galvin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 3 to 5 PM at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. A private family funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 10 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
