When Don served his country in the Korean War, she stayed with her parents in rural Sebeka. To this union, 9 children were born. They were Larry, Jerry, Randy, Eugene, Kevin, Leon, Chuck, Cheryl and Beth. She and Don had 30 grandchildren. She was active in Christian Women's Fellowship.
