Ada M. Capellari, 88, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born May 29, 1920, in Pesariis, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Romano and Luigia Cleva Casali.
She was a homemaker, and she, along with her late husband, owned and operated Rico's Grocery on Morton Avenue for more than 35 years.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the 55 and Alive of St. Michael's.
She is survived by two sons; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enrico Capellari, who passed away in 1983; one brother, Leonardo Casali of Italy; and two sisters, Noemi Lorenzini of Italy and Maria Solari of Ingham, Australia.
CAPELLARI -- Friends of Ada M. Capellari, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to conduct a scriptural wake service.
