Edna BRAY, youngest daughter of Amanda (Mandy) Melvina HOWARD and William Orrin BRAY. Sister of Adelia, Chloe, and Florence BRAY.

Edna died of diptheria at age 16 years, 8 months, and 2 days. Her memory lived in the hearts of those who loved her, and in passing her spirit was reunited with that of her grandmother Elizabeth BRAY, who pre-deceased her.

A search for the grave of Edna BRAY turned up only an area of broken and tumbled headstones. Office records at Elmwood were incomplete. Thanks to the Findagrave volunteers who searched so diligently.

"You know full well as I do the value of sisters' affections: There is nothing like it in the world." Charlotte Bronte

"The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose." Hada Bejar.

Sources: Family history, family genealogical record, Federal census.

Note: Although Edna's burial records are on file and list her burial site, volunteers who tried to find her grave at Elmwood cemetery report the area has only tumbled, broken and semi-buried headstones. They were unable to find one for her.
