Dorcas Jane Kiser Davis, age 95, beloved wife of the late Luther H. Davis, gained her angel wings on March 28,2022. She was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky on March 6, 1927, to Addie and Miller Ward Kiser. She was a graduate of Paris High School, then attended University of Kentucky College and began her career at Bradley, Blanton and Prewitt Attorneys. Dorcas and Luther went on their first date in 1947 and were married on July 22,1948. Dorcas then took a job at the circuit clerk's office under Anna Mattox and became deputy circuit court clerk under Mabel Frank. In 1981, Dorcas K. Davis was elected the Circuit Court Clerk for Bourbon County and remained in that position for 14 years before she retired in 1995.Dorcas was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a long-time member of American Legion Auxiliary, as well as the Eastern Star.

Not only was Dorcas a beloved mother, but she was a beloved grandmother (Nannie) and great-grandmother. She is survived by, two sons, Miller (Janie) Davis and Mark (Rebecca) Davis; four grandchildren, Chad (Fran0 Davis, Eric (Shannon) Davis, Michelle (Daron) Thornsburg and Sean (Jennifer) Davis, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with Chaplain Phillip Moody officiating. Interment will follow at Paris Cemetery, with casket bearers being Eric Davis, Noah Davis, Chad Davis, Michelle Thornsburg, Sean Davis, Trevor Thornsburg and Dillion Davis. Honorary bearers are the great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday.
