Bryce R Blair was born in Scotland , 4 Apr 1776. He was a weaver by trade and pursued that occupation all his life in the city of his birth. He married Margaret Clide(Clyde) born in Edinburgh. They had seven children: William S, Frank (Francis), Robert, James, Bryce W., Anne and Mary.
There was an uprising in Scotland at the time of his death. Some of those who were involved in the rebellion were taken away and killed. I suspect that is what happened to him. History states weavers were one group who were involved in a rebellion. Eventually, his wife came to the United States as did several of their children.
They both had a lot of courage. Him for standing up for his beliefs and his wife for starting a new life in another country.
