Jack Oliver Gordon, 77, of 3816 Moultrie St., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with the Rev. Barry Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park - S. Cherry Road..
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Gordon was a son of the late James Elmer and Vernie Plyler Gordon and the widower of Margie Courtney Gordon. He was a retired auto salesman and was a follower of the Baptist faith. A 32nd Degree Mason, Mr. Gordon was affiliated with St. Andrews Lodge 702, A.F. & A. M., The Scottish Rite Bodies and Oasis Shrine Temple.
Surviving are two sons, Jack W. Gordon of Charlotte and Mark Steven Gordon and wife, Leslie of York, S.C.; two daughters, Linda Lewis and husband, Harold of Whiteville, N.C., and Freda Dover and husband, Jack of Mint Hill, N.C.; his sister, Betty Lyle Gordon of Rock Hill, S.C.; and five grandchildren, Brandon Stegall, Miss Marcie Dover, Miss Kaylee Dover, Miss Amanda Gordon and Miss Lee Ann Gordon.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 4, 2007, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White St., Rock Hill, SC 29730. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Corinthian Lodge 416 A.F.M. at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the visitation.
