Ronald Roy Hall passed Saturday evening, December 5, 2020, at his residence in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born August 23, 1932, in Albert Lea, Minnesota to the late Harley Roy and Margaret Mary (McCarty) Hall.

He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and the Army National Guard. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.

Following his military service, he was employed with the US Army Corps of Engineers Hydropower Operations Branch. Ronnie provided 39 years of electric mechanical service to Cheatham, Center Hill, Dale Hollow, Cordell Hull, Percy Priest, Barkley, Laurel, and Wolf Creek power plants in Tennessee and Kentucky.

During his years with the Corps, he earned the Kentucky Colonel Award. The commission of Kentucky Colonel is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky. It is recognition of an individual's noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to the community, state, and nation.

Ronald and his family resided in Ashland City, Smithville, Livingston, and finally Cookeville during his employment years. When living in Livingston, he was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the auxiliary police. In January 1993, he was awarded the United States Army Commanders award for public service at retirement.

After retirement, Ronnie enjoyed pursuing outdoor projects. He kept an immaculate yard and garden and constructed a small pond stocked with goldfish. As a boy, he developed a love for trains, which became his hobby. Part of his backyard became an outdoor, 3 town, train village with numerous running trains and electric lights. He was also known to his family, friends, and neighbors as Mr. Fixit as he possessed the uncanny ability to fix or construct almost anything.

Ronnie was a long-time member of the Sycamore Church of Christ.

He is survived by daughter, Sharon Pointer and spouse C.W. (Bubba) of Cookeville, daughter, Monta Welch and husband Gary of Sparta, daughter, Vicki Ramsey of Baxter, and son, Randall Hall of Silver Point, grandsons, Andrew Ramsey and Corey Gambrell, granddaughter, Kelsie Ramsey Bean, and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Young) Hall, sister, Marlene Colombe, brother, James (Jim) Hall, and son-in-law, James (Jim) Ramsey.

Private Graveside Services for Ronald were held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating with full military honors. Interment followed the service.
