Sandra was born in High Point, December 3, 1943, a daughter of the late George Vernon Hassell and Bessie Stroud Hassell. She was a graduate of Allen Jay High School. Sandra retired Bryant Electric after 39 years of service. She loved animals, horses being one of her favorites. Sandra also enjoyed showing horses and was a member of the Tri-City Saddle Club and Piedmont Horseman's Association. Later in life, she enjoyed antique tractor pulling with her husband Don. She also enjoyed pulling Santa Claus in the Archdale Christmas Parade for many years. Sandra was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Cayton.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Don Albertson; a daughter, Donna; her nieces, Pat and Chris and great-nephews, David and Christopher.
A Celebration of Sandra's life will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charlie Patrick. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12 until 1 p.m. Memorials may be directed any local hospice.
