Thomas J. Casey, Jr., age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was the husband of the late Charlotte V. (Peabody) Casey for over 70 years. Born on December 18, 1919 to the late Thomas J. Casey Sr. and Ruth E. (Morse) Casey. He was employed for over 25 years in purchasing at United Shoe and later at Bentley College. Thomas was an active communicant of Saint Mary Star of the Sea Parish, Beverly, was past president of the Holy Name Society and a volunteer with Saint Mary's Drum and Bugle Corps. With his beloved wife, he enjoyed many years of retirement in Florida and New Hampshire. He enjoyed photography, camping and playing cards with friends. He also played guitar and enjoyed singing songs around the campfire. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara and her husband Russell Lacerda of Danvers, and three sons, Richard and his wife, Deborah Casey of Kittery, Maine, Joseph and his wife, Deborah Casey of Newburyport, Steven and his wife, Deborah Casey of Fla.; daughter-in-law, Pamela Casey of Ipswich, 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late William Casey and brother of the late James Casey.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 28, commencing with calling hours from 9 to 11 a.m. in the F. S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Mary Church, Main Street. Burial in Main Street Cemetery.
