Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Perry and her mother, Mrs. Lilah Drum, and Mrs. Eunice Larsen of Los Alamos have returned from the valley where they attended the funeral of Ralph Drum, on Nov. 5. Interment was in the Hanford cemetery.
Mr. Drum, 65, died in his home in Coalinga, on Nov. 1. Survivors are his wife, Vera Drum; two daughters, Barbara and Joan; two sons, Glen Drum, of Taft and Ralph Jr., of Long Beach, and five grandchildren. Also two brothers, Harry and Earl Drum of Long Beach; and two sisters, Mrs. Marian Foster of Long Beach and Mrs. Sadie Perry of Sacramento.
The deceased was born in Los Alamos in July 1891, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Drum who, until shortly before his birth, had made their home, with their three elder children, on their ranch in Drum Canyon, prior to moving to town. The family later returned to the ranch over the grade south of town.
Drum was the brother-in-law of Mrs. Lilah Drum and uncle of Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Larson, the former two still making their home on the Ranch. He had made his home in Coalinga for many years, having retired from active business three years ago following a heart attack.
