Services for Anna J. Brecount, 87, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in White Oak, Ohio. Burial will be in the St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Brecount died Friday, March 19, 1999, at Brandon Woods Retirement Center.
She was born Oct. 10, 1911, in Cincinnati, the daughter of Jacob and Mary Klein Mendel. She moved to Lawrence from Cincinnati in January 1999.
Mrs. Brecount was a homemaker and was active in the Extension Homemakers Group and the Rugcrafters Guild of Cincinnati.
She married David D. Brecount on Feb. 14, 1931. He died on Feb. 17, 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Wolf, Lawrence; a brother, Jacob C. Klein, Cincinnati; a sister, Ruth O'Shaughnessy, Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A son, David J. Brecount, died March 3, 1995.
