T.V. hostess, Entertainer. She was the forerunner of aerobics in Argentina and dedicated most of her life to improvement through a technique called Fitness that she learned in the United States, where she also perfected in "Workout" and "Jeans Aerobics". Classical dancer from four to twenty-four years old, she had specialized in "Tap". From the age of fourteen she traveled to New York every summer and studied "Tap Dance" until the seventh year advanced, graduating in Hollywood. Upon returning to Buenos Aires, she became a dance teacher for figures such as Antonio Gasalla, Carlos Perciavalle and Cecilia Rossetto. Her fame was such that even the big food brands hired her to be the face of their products. In 1983, she hosted her program "Buen día Salud", which was broadcast in the mornings on the channel ATC until 1986. Then, she went to Channel 11 and Channel 13 with a more journalistic and higher-production program that she named "Buen Día, María". These programs were characterized for being the first gymnastics programs on the Argentine small screen. She was also accompanied by Dr. Eduardo Lorenzo Borocotó, who provided data on physical health, and a group of girls who were called "Las Marías". In the year 2000 she was a guest on the program "Sábado Bus", hosted by Nicolás Repetto. That same year she worked in a short TV program on Channel 9 and, in 2008, she participated in a chapter of the CQC program on the channel Telefé. She passed away on July 19, 2017, after suffering a stroke, at the age of 64.
