Calista Adaline Ladd was the daughter of William Ladd and Lovina Allen Ladd. She was married to Josiah Walker who traveled with his twin brother to New York to work on the Erie Canal. There the brothers met and married sisters. Josiah and Calista later removed to Palmer, Hampden, Massachusetts.
