Don Pedro Diaz-Vanegas, 77, entered into eternal rest on October 3, 2007. Born in Huejucar Jalisco, Mexico on June 30, 1930. Pedro came to the United States in 1955 and went to work for ASARCO. He retired in 1992 taking only one sick day in his thirty seven years of faithful service. He is preceded in death by his mother Dolores Diaz-Vanegas, his father Rafael Diaz-Santa Cruz, his sister Rosa Diaz de Campos, and his son Armando Diaz. He is survived by his brother's Jose Concepcion, Refugio, Jesus, Rafael, Benjamin, Francisco, and his sister Maria Diaz-Miranda. Sons Jose Luis, Pedro Jr., and Pedro. His daughters Lorenza (Lori) Diaz-Guerrero, Yolanda Diaz, Rosario Tapia, Veronica Garcia, Maria Isela Fernandez, Leticia Diaz, Josefina Torres, and his favorite niece Rosario (Chayo) Melendez. Numerous grand children and great grand children. Don Pedro, will be burried with his family in Juarez, Mexico. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at "Jardin de La Oracion," on Ignacio de la Pena Y Bolivia, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at "Senor de la Misericordia," Av. Valentin Fuentes Y Simona Barba, in Juarez, MX. Menudo, Bollios and sweet bread on Sunday mornings will never be the same. "ASI ES."
