Johnson Stanley Mildred Hester Johnson Stanley Mitchell, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Ona and Huntington, W.Va., went to be with her family in Heaven on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. She was born on January 28, 1915, in Putnam County, W.Va., to James Boyd and Lucy Ann Bird Johnson. She was a life time believer of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Irvin Stanley of 53 years and Jesse Mitchell of 12 years. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Paul David Stanley; her brother, Bowman Johnson; and sisters, Callie Higginbotham Lake and Oma Kimbler. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Julia Stanley Brown, of Greensboro, N.C., and Betty Stanley Blankenship, of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren, Barry Brown (Deborah), of Marysville, Ohio, Andrea Duvall (Jason), of Greensboro, N.C., Janelle Blankenship Wolff, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Joshua Blankenship (Ashleigh), of Salem, Va.; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, W.Va. Services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009, by Elders Harold Johnson and Lewis Johnson at the funeral home followed by interment at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, W.Va. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Summerville at Ridgewood Gardens in Salem, Va.
