Bruce F. Rummel, age 74 of Wabeno passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. He was born on April 14, 1946 in Laona the son of Edwin and Evelyn (Walker) Rummel.
Bruce graduated from Wabeno High School in 1964. He worked on the family dairy farm as a child and young adult. He ventured to Florida in the early 1970’s and spent several months there working. In his late 20’s Bruce moved to South Dakota for several years and worked in the woods logging. He then returned home where he and his brother Cecil worked the dairy farm, harvested the crops and raised beef cattle.
Bruce was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wabeno and devoted to his faith. He was an avid hunter and loved his hunting trips to Michigan, South Dakota, Colorado and Wyoming.
Bruce is survived by a brother, Martin (Gail) Rummel of Wabeno: sister-in-law Kathleen Rummel of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law Kathy Rummel of Suring. Further survived by 3 nieces and 6 nephews.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Evelyn; brothers, Phillip, Cecil and Clifford; and half-brother, Louis.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16 from 10-11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wabeno. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Cody Hauch officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Wabeno.
