Mr. Adams, an assistant superintendent for Fresno Unified School District, died Wednesday.
Son of Mae Adams from Dustin Acres, California.
Jon grew up living a cowboy's dream, breaking horses, roping cattle, and packing mules into the high country.
He was musically talented and played the trumpet during his Fresno State College days, the guitar around a campfire, and had been the choir director for the First Presbyterian Church in Sanger where he was a member for many years.
An avid hunter, horseman and educator, Jon was a devoted family man.
Jon is survived by his wife, Cheryl Adams; son, Jon P. Adams; daughter, Julia L. Richardson; four grandchildren, sister, Billy Adams; and twin brother, Joe Adams.
