Debra Ann Bayens, 68, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2020 surrounded by her family. Debra was preceded in death by her parents AJ and Patricia Ernst and her sister Cindy. Debra is survived by her husband who she married on May 11, 1974; her children , 5 grandchildren . Debra dedicated over 30 plus years of service to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Bosse Funeral Home 1355 Ellison Avenue. A mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated in memory of Debra on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10 am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church 1020 E. Burnett Avenue with interment to immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery. COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: As of December 13, 2020, until further notice, Public visitation is again back in place with the following restrictions. It is highly suggested that you do not attend any public visitation and instead sign the online guest register book that accompanies the online obituary at www.bossefh.com . If you must visit in person, you must wear a mask at all times, submit to a temperature scan at the check in and only come in to sign the guest register, quickly give condolences to the family and leave. The goal is to be in the building and exposed no more than 15 minutes from entering. There is a strict limit of 60 people in the building at any given time and this will be strictly enforced. Funerals conducted in the building will be limited to 30 persons, as that is all that seating at 6 feet distance will permit. It is not recommended that you send any type of flowers or memorial gifts that would be taken home, to help quell the spread of the virus. Donations in her honor can be made to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Alzheimer's Association or Hosparus Health Louisville. A special thank you to the dedicated staff at Hosparus Health for the loving care they provided.
