Mrs. Sharkey Rites Wednesday
Mrs. Catherine Sharkey of 372 S. Edwards Ave., Eastwood, died yesterday in St. Joseph's after a brief illness.
Mrs. Sharkey was a native of Ireland and lived in the city 60 years. She was the widow of Thomas J. Sharkey. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, and a member of its Living Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eileen McLaughlin, Mrs. Maryanne Harrington and Mrs. Rita Vinetge; two sons, Thomas J. of Minnesota and John P. Sharkey of New Jersey; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Martin Griffin and a sister, Bridget, both of Ireland.
Services will be 9:15 A.M. Wednesday at the Callahan-Hanley-Mooney Funeral Home, and at 10 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Church, where a solemn high Mass of requiem will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 P.M. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. tomorrow at the funeral home.
