EVANS - W. Oleta Haynes, 83, of Evans, formerly of Ravenswood, died Oct. 19, 1998, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a long illness.

She was born in Pike and was a graduate of Pennsboro High School. She was a district manager for Court Cosmetics and a member of Independent Brethren Church, Ravenswood, and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6669, Ravenswood.

Surviving: sons, Edwin Eugene Haynes of Three Rivers, Mich., Robert Lee Haynes of Portage, Ohio, Stehan Michael Haynes of Oliver Springs, Tenn.; daughter, Sharla Ann Cobb of Ravenswood; granddaughter, Teresa Hager of Evans, with whom she made her home; brother, Ed Lucas of Pennsboro; sister, Juanita Redding of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one niece; two nephews.

Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Independent United Brethren Church, Ravenswood, with the Rev. Bill Matics and the Rev. Anton Hager officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, and one hour prior to service at the church.
