LEVELLAND — Services for Major Russell, 80, of Levelland will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Geo. C. Price Chapel in Levelland. Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors of Levelland. He died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002.
He was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Chattanooga, Okla. He moved to Levelland in 1999 from Del Rio. He previously lived in Levelland, where he owned and operated a service station. He moved to Breckenridge and then to Del Rio in 1984. He married Jocile Nettles on April 28, 1938, in Clovis, N.M. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, two sisters, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
