Betty J. Aarstad, age 86, of Janesville died on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her home. She was born in Janesville, WI, on August 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Greenwood) Splinter. On March 1, 1956, Betty married Marvin Aarstad in Dubuque, IA and together they raised four children together. Betty loved travelling all over and truly enjoyed her camping trips with the Starcraft Camping Club. She also enjoyed trips visiting casinos, and going out to eat for dinner. She was the most amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all in her family. Betty is survived by her children: Cheryl Skoien, Mark (Lori) Aarstad, Larry (Patty) Aarstad, and Kevin (Linda) Aarstad all of Janesville; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings: Jerry (Gwen) Splinter, Richard Splinter, Arlene Harmel, Delores Collins, and Marilyn (Allen) Johnson; her special friends Becki Raby and Mitzie Plemon and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her love of her life Marvin on February 16, 2017; her granddaughter Jennifer; and siblings: Donald Splinter, Frank Splinter, Lois Kerl, and Francis Ingal. Following Betty’s wish, a private family service will be held with entombment at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
