They also operated a general store. During the 1880 census James and his family were in Dover, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and he was working as a grocer. James became sole operator of the Funeral Home, while Calvin did likewise of the store. During the 1900 federal census, the family was living in Dover Twp, OH. In 1920 James was a widower living with his son Clifford in Dover. Mary E. Osborn was mistakenly listed as Clifford's mother, She was his mother-in-law.
