Beth was born October 16, 1934 in Clyde on the family farm to James Nolan and Nan (Smith) Broadfoot. She graduated Clyde High School in 1953 and attended Draughn’s Business College in Abilene. She was the Land Manager for Sojourner Drilling Corporation from 1974 until her retirement in 2010. She was a lifetime resident of the Clyde/Abilene area and a member of the Clyde Church of Christ. She had also been a member of the University Church of Christ in Abilene, and the Buffalo Gap Church of Christ. Beth was a past President/Founding Member of the Desk and Derrick Club in Abilene, where she took pride in educating and encouraging women of the Oil and Gas Industry. She was an avid Bridge player, participating in games weekly. She volunteered often through her church, particularly helping children and families in need. Some of her favorite opportunities to serve were, Meals on Wheels, Trunk or Treat, and sponsoring a family at Christmas time.
Beth is survived by one son, Gary Don Barr and wife Tish of Clyde; two daughters, Sandra Barr Miller of Clyde and Lori Barr Gooding and husband Ken of El Paso; one sister, Bitsy Broadfoot Berryman and husband Wayne of Tyler; seven grandchildren, Troy Barr and wife Kimberly, Cody Barr and wife Tamarin, Richy Barr and wife Kristi, Wendy Quintanilla and husband Rufus, Jacob Belcher, Callie Norrell and husband Caleb, and Hagen Belcher; four great-grandchildren, Brody Barr, Alexis Barr, and Garron and Rhyer Quintanilla; and one nephew Michael Berryman and wife Karen.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her niece Belinda Berryman Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Clyde Volunteer Fire Department.
