Jo Ann Aarant,, 72, of Jasper passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Shultz Funeral Home with interment at Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home.
A native of Silsbee, Jo Ann was born to Carl & Lillie Williams Sr. on May 15, 1948. She was a resident of Jasper for the past 51 years. She is survived by her son Bennie Ray Aarant Jr. of Jasper; daughters Jo Nell Aarant of Lufkin, Amie Clowers & husband Jimmy Jon of Kirbyville, Tracey Chappell & husband Tracy of Jasper, and Amanda Sowell & husband Richard of Colmesneil; brothers John Williams of Kountze, Frankie Williams of Silsbee and Jerry Williams of Silsbee; sisters Linda Crocker of Houston and Bertie Mae Gore of Hillister; as well as 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bennie Ray Aarant Sr., brother Carl Williams Jr. and sisters Helen Sator, Mary Nell Brown & Carolyn Griffis.
