Mr. Robert Allen “Robbie” Adcock, age 98, of Shelbyville, passed away December 22, 2020.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2020, at Edgemont Baptist Church. Brother Jimmy West will officiate and burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the church on Monday, December 28, 2020.

He was born December 18, 1922, in Bedford County, to the late Robert Thomas Adcock and Virginia Elizabeth Russell Adcock. He was a longtime member of Edgemont Baptist Church. He was a farmer, former county school bus driver, and retired from Uniroyal.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Adcock; a daughter Judy Faye Pope; two sons, Robert A. Adcock, Jr. and Paul Haywood Adcock; son-in-law Charles “Buddy” Pope; three brothers, Jefferson Green Adcock, Oren Milton Adcock, and Bill Haynes; two sisters, Mary Lou Sherwin and Kansas Spence.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy (Mary) Adcock, of Shelbyville, and Andy (Meg) Adcock, of Florida; daughter, Barbara (Bill) McAdams, of Shelbyville; a brother, Melvin (Maxine) Claxton Adcock, of Shelbyville; twelve grandchildren: Jim (Marsha) Potts, Robert (Tanya) Potts, Andrea (Scott) Smith, Tina (Jeff) Carter, “T” (Wendy) Adcock, Tisha (Joe) Denby, John Adcock, Chuck (Dana) Adcock, Drew Adcock, Amy (Brandon) Booher, Angela (Troy) Brown, and Charlie (Cindy) Pope; twenty-four great-grandchildren: Jennifer (Marty) Barr, Kayla (Ryan) Rogers, Mary Katherine Potts, Christopher Potts, Rebekah Potts, Mark Potts, Kara Potts, Ethan Smith, Anna Marie Smith, Summer Carter, Steele Carter, Justice Carter, Thomas (Jessica) Adcock, Stacey (Jon) Adcock, Corey (Alisha) Sudberry, Jennifer Denby, Emily Denby, Brandon Brown, Meleah (Walker) Stephens, Addison Pope, Emma Pope, Hannah Adcock, Xander Adcock, and Violet Booher; 9 great-great grandchildren: Landon Hill, Jace Hill, Charlie Hill, Gabbie Adcock, Elijah Sudberry, Rhett Rogers, Ryker Rogers, Kassi (Milton) Yon, and Kirsti Barr; two great-great-great grandchildren, Makenna Yon and Elsie Yon; many loving nieces and nephews.
