In loving memory of our mother, Amelia LaRett Hunt (Hansen) VanSickle born May 9, 1949 in Ogden, UT to Norman Ruben (Dutch) and LaVon Mae Hansen of Fort Hall. She passed away December 22, 2020.

She grew up farming and ranching in the Fort Hall area and attended schools in the Blackfoot area.

She worked at the State Hospital South as a medical nurse, and at the Southeastern Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in Pocatello. She also worked at Stan’s Restaurant as a waitress.

She was the youngest sister of four children, Norma Kay Ketchum, Norman Ray Hansen and William Bill Hansen.

Amelia enjoyed camping, fishing, making candy, ceramics, sewing, making dolls, and doing all sorts of crafts.

Amelia is survived by her daughter, Paula McGuire and her children, Tiffany, Steven, Charlie, and Kalob; son, Norman Hunt and his children, Khalani, Lane, and Lana; sister-in-law, Debbie Hansen Hensley; nieces Christy and Misty; nephews, Jim, Greg & Lauhana, Julie, and Cody; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hunt; daughter, LaVon; her parents; siblings, Ray, Kay, and Bill; sister-in-law, Lucille Hansen; and brother-in-law, Chuck Ketchum.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
