Mr. Dan Louis Locke age 86 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Mr. Locke was born in Franklin, TN, on August 23, 1934, the son of the late Sam Claybrook Locke and Dora Walker Locke. He graduated from Martin College where he was the captain of the basketball team and him and his wife, Inita won homecoming queen and king. Mr. Locke retired as a Metro Nashville High School Teacher and coach after many years of service. He enjoyed writing songs and playing his guitar. Mr. Locke most recently attended Community Church of Hendersonville. He had a witty sense of humor and litany of jokes.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Inita Johnson Locke, to whom was married July 3, 1955; four children, Cathy Lackey, Anthony Louis “Tony” Locke (Leah), Anita Colleen Sweeton (Garry), and Samuel Keith Locke; grandchildren, Beth Lackey, Brooke Rosener (Alan), Blair Lackey, Megan Perdue (Ben), Jena Thomas (Josh), Daniel Louis Sweeton (Katie), Samuel Sweeton, and Joshua Henson (Allison); eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Locke (Evelyn). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A private service will be held.
