Helen and had resided in Nevada for five years. Helen received a bachelor of fine arts from the Nebraska Wesleyan University, majoring in voice and minoring in piano. She taught at Moravian College for Women in Pennsylvania, where she met her future husband, Dr. Sidney P. Goodrich, professor of Latin and German. They married in 1940, moved to Ripon, Wis., in 1944, and raised two children together. Helen taught music for 25 years. She served as choir director, Music Teacher for the Berlin Area School System until her retirement in 1977, organist and soloist at various churches, and was a hospice volunteer for 10 years. She was a member of the American Choral Directors Association, NEA, Ripon Educational Club, Ripon Historical Society, and Alpha Gamma Delta. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Sid in 1978; and her daughter, Hera in 1997. She is survived by her son, Craig, and his wife, Annie; granddaughter, Elaine, and her husband, Stephan; great-grandson, Alexander; grandchildren, Alexandra and Joey; and Hera's children, Kirstin and Carl. Services will be private.
