Aileen Faye Allshouse passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, at Highland View Nursing Home on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Faye was born on January 16, 1929 in Brockway and lived her entire life in the town she loved. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary “Muir” Truesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Gerald “Whitey” Allshouse who passed away in 2014. Faye graduated from Brockway High School in 1946 in the business curriculum where she was very active in various school activities including the yearbook club. She and her husband, Whitey, were instrumental in planning/organizing all their high school class reunions. Faye worked in the payroll department for Brockway Glass for several years prior to becoming a mother and raising her four children. Once her family was raised, she went back into the workforce with most of her working years at the Holiday Inn – Dubois until she retired. Faye was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Brockway where she served on several committees including the United Methodist Women’s Club and Finance committee. She was also a member of the bible study. Once retired, Faye enjoyed reading, watching Christian television programs and just sitting on her porch with family. Faye also enjoyed traveling and was able to go to many places around the country including two of her and Whitey’s favorite places, Disneyland and Dollywood. Faye also had the opportunity to take her mother Mary on a trip to her homeland in Scotland. Most of all, Faye enjoyed and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards and other games including backyard croquet with her family. Faye was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always there for anyone who needed her. She would always provide sound advice and comfort to all of us. She had the natural ability to brighten anyone’s day. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Faye is survived by her daughters Sharon Britton and husband Dave of Dubois, Terri Noland and husband Dennis of Brockway and son, Gerald “Jerry” Allshouse and wife Jackie of Butler, Pa. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Beyond her husband Whitey and her parents, Faye was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary along with three brothers and three sisters.
