Mrs. Maggie V. Gordin, 100, of Vaiden died of heart failure Tuesday, May 23, 1995, at Graceland Nursing Home in Memphis. Mrs. Gordin was the daughter of the late George W. Alderman and Martha Perry. She was a homemaker and the widow of the Rev. Freddie Gordin
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at Lee Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Old Plank Cemetery at Vaiden. The Rev. Jimmy Latham officiated.
Mrs. Gordin is survived by one daughter, Mildred Ruth Dye of Bossier City, LA; one son, Alford Gordin of Memphis; two nieces, Ruby Pullen of Vaiden and Maxine Harrison of Kilmichael: seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
