Gayle Lynn Eads (Smith) passed away peacefully December 24, 2020 in Escondido, CA surrounded by her daughters who will continue to honor her legacy.
Gayle was born August 12, 1956 in Haskell, TX to Howard and Hardy Jean Smith. The Smith family moved from Texas to Hobbs, NM Gayle’s freshman year of high school where she met her husband, Robert. The two married shortly after high school and moved to San Diego, CA where they raised their four daughters.
Gayle enjoyed simple pleasures in life the most: antique shopping, dining out, live music, visiting wineries, and family reunions. She was a wonderful cook who always brought her family together with delicious meals learned from her mother, Jean.
Gayle is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Eads; daughters, Alison Eads Scott (Kelvin), Ashley Terrell (Brian), Sierra Eads (Natalia), and Shelley Eads (James); 5 grandsons, Dillon Eads, Nathaniel Eads, Jackson Scott, Oliver Terrell, and Hudson Terrell; brothers: Larry Smith, Garry Smith, and Martin Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private visitation will be held on December 31st, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Escondido, CA. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
