Marie Adcock, 90, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord she loved and trusted as her Savior on Sunday, October 7, 2007. Born Cecil Marie Williams to Leonard Amos and Daisy Brownfield Williams, Marie grew up on the family farm near Brownsville. During WWII, she moved to Little Rock to work in the ammunition factory. After the war, she met Edward Ray Adcock, and 6 weeks later they married and remained together until Ray's death in 1993.

Devoted to her family, Marie worked hard to put her family first. She enjoyed gardening and she loved all animals, but especially her dogs. From Smokey to Puddles to Princess to Pumpkin to Columbus and Isabella, Marie loved them all.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Hillary Ann Adcock. She is survived by a daughter, Martha Adcock of Little Rock; three sons, Edward Adcock of Little Rock; Bill and Judy Adcock of Little Rock; Kender and Sue Adcock of Mountain Pine; three grandchildren, Christine Archer, Glenn Adcock, and Elizabeth Earnest; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Earman and Thermon, and one sister, Oveda, and is survived by one sister, Ruby and Euell Hawley of Little Rock, and one brother, Jessie and Verna Williams of Little Rock.

She is also survived by some special friends who loved her and helped care for her throughout the years – Todd and Tandy Murray (and children), Jennifer Kestner, and Jamie Johnson all of Little Rock.

In her later years, Marie suffered from Alzheimer's, but the disease never overshadowed her love for the Lord. Even up to her last days on earth, Marie sang hymns. Today, she is singing with a perfect memory her praises to God.

Funeral services will be conducted by J. Todd Murray, pastor at The Bible Church of Little Rock, and will be held Tuesday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock (501-661-9111).. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
