Miss Amelia V. Baker, 97, of 124 S. Edwards Ave. died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. A self-employed seamstress, she retired in 1962. Miss Baker resided in Syracuse for 95 years. She was born in Clay.
She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are a brother, Victor J. Baker of Syracuse; a nephew, Edwin J. Baker, and two nieces, Miss Rita G. Baker and Miss Frances Baker of Westvale.
Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Goddard & Crandall Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow
