Mrs. Krips was born in Brookline and lived there most of her life. Occasionally she worked as a piano accompanist for various dance groups in Boston and she also taught piano. She was an active board member of the Jewish Family and Children's Service, Women's Auxiliary of Beth Israel Hospital and Brookline Chamber Music Society.
She was the widow of Alfred Krips, assistant concertmaster of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, concertmaster of the Boston Pops Orchestra and a member of the faculty of the Berkshire Music Center.
Mrs. Krips leaves a sister, Ruth Nathan of Newton; two brothers, Irving Wallace of Washington D.C. and TV personality Mike Wallace of New York City; and several nieces and nephews.
