Mary Cirelda Neikirk, age 71 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
Born October 7, 1949 in Monroe. She was one of six children from the late William and Josephine (Grastich) Neikirk. Mary attended and graduated from Rincon High School in Tucson, AZ. She came back to Michigan after high school.
Mary started her career working for Milt Knabusch Insurance as a Secretary for over 10 years. She then went to work for DTE Energy as a Payroll Clerk for 13 years before retiring.
In Mary’s free time, she enjoyed her many sister trips to Las Vegas, NV. She liked seeing the shows and playing the many games available. Mary loved a good movie as well as being an avid reader and cross stitcher.
Most importantly, Mary enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She liked going to the many family parties and gatherings, especially around the holiday season. Mary will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Beloved sister of Franklin (Loretta) Neikirk and Katherine (Anthony) Norman. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by special friends: Karen Nelson and Doug Dandron.
Preceded in death by her parents: William and Josephine Neikirk, and siblings: Betty Froehlich, Alva Neikirk, and Kathleen Stump.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Mary are suggested to the Humane Society of Monroe.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home. In accordance with Mary’s wishes, cremation will take place with no services at this time.
