Ms. Harper was raised in the Wewoka and Cromwell communities and was a graduate of Butner High School. Shortly after graduation she moved to Tulsa where she attended business college. She then made Tulsa her lifelong home.
She first began working as a bookkeeper for a Tulsa flower shop and was later employed by several other area businesses, the final one being Stein Mart. She loved playing bingo and also enjoyed visiting casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herman and Ethan Harper, four sisters, Eleanor Harper, Jenny Bowers, Edith Brown, and Lucille Gibson, three nephews, Randy Stephenson, Sam Horton, and David Shirley, and a niece Donna Bowers.
Survivors include: a daughter Anna Harper of Edmond; a sister Louise Horton of Wewoka; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Wetumka with Rev. Don Williamson officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in the Harper Family Cemetery under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka and Weleetka.
