Winifred Elise (Williams) Cameron, 85, passed away quietly on October 6, 2007 in Vero Beach, FL. Born in Boston, MA to Alfred E. Williams and Jean D. McGray Williams. She was a life-long resident of Needham, MA prior to moving to Vero Beach, FL eleven years ago with her husband.

Winifred was a member of the Needham High School Class of 1940, and a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Needham and Vero Beach, FL. She was also a member of the Mother Church in Boston, MA. She was a Girl Scout troop leader, a Red Cross volunteer during World War II, and active in the community as a member of the Needham YMCA Auxiliary, a board member on the Needham YMCA Board of Directors and a member of the Needham Historical Society. She was also a member of Wisteria Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and Toastmistress Club. She also worked as an advertising representative for the Christian Science Monitor.

Winifred leaves her husband of 62 years, Edwin W. Cameron, her son Bruce and wife Cynthia of Katy, TX and son Brian of Reston, VA. She also leaves four grandchildren: Heather and her husband Jeff Parnell of Katy, TX, Darren Cameron and his wife Mary Beth of Katy, TX, Jeffrey Cameron of Vienna, VA and Christopher Cameron of Chandler, AZ. She also leaves a brother Kendrick Williams and his wife Jeanne of Boca Raton, FL.

The Family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House in Vero Beach for all their love and care in making her last days as pain free and dignified as possible.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Memorial Service will be held in the near future.
