Angel Cabo Balcarcel, 98, of The Villages, FL, passed away on December 27, 2020. He was born on January 12, 1922 in Canton, Ohio to Jose and Amanda Balcarcel. He attended and graduated Timken High School in Canton. Angel moved to Florida from Canton, Ohio in 1978. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII from November 1942 to January 1946. Angel attended the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. on May 21, 2016. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Angel retired from Ford Motor Company as a Tool and Dye Operator after thirty years of service. He loved being with his children and grandchildren and pets. He also loved to go to Hard Rock.
Angel will be greatly missed by his three children, Sandra (John) Prestigiovanni, Larry (Sharon) Balcarcel, Victor (Debbie) Balcarcel, daughter-in-law, Connie Balcarcel, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Margaret Bonta who passed away on April 9, 2009, his son, Angel Balcarcel, brothers, Aurel Balcarcel, Joe Balcarcel, and sisters, Nativa Isla, Annie Gutierez, Ruth Scredon, Eva Garcia, and Concha Nieto. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Flight. Arrangements by Roberts of Ocala Funerals & Cremations.
