Donald R. Browning, age 88, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Kingston Care Center. The son of Hoovey and Ollie, he was born August 14, 1932 in Red Boiling Springs, TN. When he was a young boy his parents moved to the Holland area. Don worked for Jeep retiring in 1992. When he was younger he like to garden, supplying vegetables to the neighborhood. Don and his family traveled extensively over the years, visiting every state except Hawaii and Alaska. His favorite place to eat was Burger King; if he went anywhere fancier he was always disappointed. He loved to watch T.V. on his large screen, especially watching the OSU Buckeyes. Don could often be seen riding his tri-bike with his friends at Strawberry Acres.
Surviving are his children, Kimberly (Tom Lehman) Wanous, Donald A. (Linda) Browning; and granddaughter, Julie (Austin) Abbott and his beloved canine, Waverly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne and sister, Faye Bryson.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 11:00-12:00 at Walker Funeral Home Holland, Springfield-Chapel 7438 Airport Hwy Holland, OH 43528 where a memorial service will be held at 12:00p.m. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
