Alfred Lee Shockley, 83, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born November 7, 1937 in Lawrence County, Ohio son of the late Alfred, Sr and Eileen Vanpelt Shockley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Fred Allen Shockley. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jordan Shockley; one son Bret Lee Shockley; one sister Shirley (Leroy) Simmons of Palm Coast, FL; three brothers Gerald (Valerie) Shockley of Chesapeake, Ohio, Ronny Shockley of Proctorville, Ohio and Jerry (Audrey) Shockley of Chesapeake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He retired from INCO Alloys and was a U.S. Army Veteran. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow. No visitation will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
