Mr. Miguel M. “Mike” Flechas III age 83 of Pascagoula, MS, passed away peacefully at his home January 5, 2021. Born April 11, 1937 to the late Miguel M. and Adele Hobdy Flechas Jr., he was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula. Mike was a graduate of Pascagoula High School class of 1955 and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Mike also served in the US Army and achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant. Mike returned home and began working for his father and eventually became owner of M.M. Flechas Shipyard which was started by his dad in 1953. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula and the Pascagoula Elks Lodge. Mike was a quiet man, who thought before he spoke. He was someone you could count on when you were in need. He was a friend to all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Regina Kocher-Flechas; four sons Miguel Martin Flechas IV of Charlotte, NC, Matthew Flechas of Mobile, AL, Marshall Flechas of Pascagoula, MS, Blaine Alexander Ray of Pascagoula, MS; two daughters Adele Perry and her husband John of Maryville, TN, Catherine Ann Watson and her husband Jimmy of Hurley, MS; six grandchildren Cameron Perry, Andrew Perry, Kathryn Perry, Isabella Flechas, Isaac Flechas and Amaya Smith.
Funeral services for Mr. Flechas will be private. He will be interred at Krebs Cemetery. Please express your condolences on our web page.
